In partnership with the New Mexico Autism Society, the Duke City Gladiators will have a sensory friendly space for fans beginning in the 2020 season. The sensory space caters to individuals who might require a safe and calming environment. The space will allow fans to enjoy the games at Tingley Coliseum confidently, knowing they have a quiet space to retreat to for a break, as needed. The room will be staffed with two licensed behavioral specialists for every home game.
In addition, New Mexico Autism Society and AIC General Contracting will provide the Gladiators with sensory bags. These bags are available during home games for fans to check out and use. Items such as noise canceling headphones, gloves, and sensory items will be in these bags to help ensure fans enjoy their time at the games. The Gladiators want all fans to have a wonderful family fun experience at games.
